Not All Witches Belong to a Coven

Not all witches belong to a coven. Put aside the stereotypes. Expand your mind and think outside of the box. Mother nature lives inside all of us. She is the mother of the earth. Her medicine lives in the plants that feed off the dirt. Get your feet wet, dabble, and expand your mind. Not all witches wear black clothing or dance naked in the garden just before dawn. This woman lives alone. She lives among her dreams, works hard like a graceful wave carrying life to the shore. She warms her skin with the sun and finds energy with every passing moon, from the crescent to the full, from chaotic to the pure. You can make your judgements they do not touch her, because she is grounded in her beliefs. Her story was built on experience not from the tales spilling between a stranger’s teeth. Not all witches cast a spell for love or for hate. A true witch holds the power to lead by example, not manipulate. Go on your merry way thinking you know it all. Turning your back on knowledge is a sure-fire way to disaster and showing your true colors. The devil is laughing at the fools who believe his lies and drink his spit. For the greatest achievement he has ever accomplished was to convince the world he does not exist. But open your eyes and there he is gathering all his conquests. She has fallen many times and has been burned by his fire. She coils in raw vulnerability and makes rising above an art form. She has cried many tears that water the dry soil and stifle the flames. Her songs are like the pied piper leading the way. All the witches want her in their coven, but that is not the path she chose to take.

Divine Intervention

When the hurting starts to become the comfort, your mind becomes numb to the pain. I could forget and replace memory with a picture from yesterday, but my heart only feels the emptiness it has already been trained. I must relearn that love is faith, and maybe now God might intervene. Not calling out in prayer, for I humbly concede. I know nothing of my own affairs; I could not possibly understand what I truly need. The more I learn, the less I know, and the struggle continues to swell. I know with confidence nothing is permanent; this too shall pass. There must be something greater than all of us. If I am wrong and this is all we got, it is time to find the courage to understand God is my heart.
